THE PASSION PROJECT
RESCUED MEMORIES: Preserving the Lost History
"I believe every image is a document of time. Whether I am rescuing lost footage
from decades past or filming a new chapter for a family's history, my goal is the same
to ensure no story is forgotten. We accept a limited number of historical submissions each month. We are looking for lost media with a story."
What I do:
-The Rescue project: I find, develop, and digitize "lost or forgotten" media - including undeveloped film rolls and vintage 8mm reels-sent to me from all over the world.
-Private Commissioned Documentaries: I work with families to film and preserve their current and past stories, creating professional documentaries that future generations will cherish.
Purpose:
"Too many stories are lost to time, fading away in attics or forgotten in junk drawers. The Rescued Memories Project exists to save them. I am an archivist and filmmaker dedicated to preserving personal histories-whether they were captured 50 years ago on an 8mm reel or need to be capture today.
